Back in Kerkyra, Corfu

I discovered a plastic dinner mat that presents a wonderful view of the city.
The Old Fort on the left.
The main park, square between the fort and the city.
A new pier in the old harbor at the bottom.
Antonis and Maria's home under the pink dot, left of center, halfway up.
The mainland is on the left horizon. The southern part of the island lies on the right horizon.
The University and the airport are outside of the right frame.
An enlargement of the mat shows their home under the pink dot.
This building and a large part of the old city dates from the late 1700's.
At the top you see the Old Fort's moat wall separating it from the park.

The first day back Antonis is under great pressure to get the boat ready to be "launched".
You see the completely reinstalled propeller shaft/blade.
The next day, the boat is being launched.
(Two whole days before his promised date). Not everything got done, like the desired second coat of bottom paint. Antonis is painting the spots that the cradle had blocked. The boat hangs in the sling so he can clean and paint them.
Being lowered into the water. A classical shape from the 1970's.

I notice to the right that the light is just so right.
The soft light is wonderful. It is hard to not feel romantic about it.
After getting the rigging, etc. installed they are...
ready to cast off to take the boat to it's mooring. The ungainly box on top of the cabin is required by law. An emergency life raft. It sits on top of the cabin... there  is no other space.

Back home the next morning.
Now it is time to organize the show. I have prints spread everywhere while they are at school.
This also gives an idea of the house. This is the third and top most floor.
Going to the brick wall and looking back from the windows you see the rest of the space.
Antonis and Maria's sleeping loft is under the skylights. The kitchen is to the left under the loft. My bedroom is to the right behind the stainless steel covered closet.
You see the bedroom light on at night. So...  for now
