Today Arianna had to take the first of what we know as the SAT tests.
The site was to be in a hotel north of the city.
The site was to be in a hotel north of the city.
I was asked if I would like to see Lawerence Durell's house while she was taking the test.
Of Course.
After dropping off Arianna we drove further north along the coast to Kalani
You can see why people are so enamored of the island.
The buses seem so big
With hairpin turns you need mirrors to see around the curves.
Passing an old home I am asked if I would like to stop and view a traditional cemetery.
Looking across into Albania.
I was told that the British build rather elaborate swimming pools and gardens.
A classic German yacht cruising past.
You can see the mixture of old and new.
We stop and look down at a beach used by the local people.
For me, it is one of those "Wow" moments.
We drive down to a beach, park and watch sea urchins, that had been caught, being opened.
Walking on a trail to the beach we had seen from above we pass an abandoned olive oil press farm house and factory.
The swimming rock from the trail.
We went back to the first beach and swam.
Then to the "White House"
The home has been purchased and made into a restaurant.
A table, literally on the shore, is just plain wonderful.
Maria waits while I snap.
This shows the house setting on the rock shore.
Back to the gallery and the show opening.
Two snaps of my walls. Antonis and I will be documenting the images and I will show his three walls in a future blog.
